Michael Peters – Executive Director

Michael trained in agriculture and agricultural journalism. He jointly founded an agricultural PR and Marketing company in London and after eight years was head hunted to run a US/UK joint venture agricultural manufacturing company in East Anglia. The company won the Queen’s Award for Export in 1980. Then in 1987 the company was sold and Michael went on to start an international executive recruitment consultancy specializing in food and agriculture.

During the early 90’s, after 27 years of church going, Michael became born again through the teaching of New Zealand evangelist Barry Smith.

Travelling in the UK and US he experienced much biblical teaching and played a major role within the UK Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International.

Out of the life changing experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit, Michael and his wife Judy, set up Acts One Eight Trust which also goes under the name of Acts One Eight Ministries.

Judy Peters – Director & Secretary

Judy had a strong spiritual influence from her parents but didn’t learn until later in life that to be a Christian one had to be born again and have a personal relationship with Jesus. It was during a period of searching whilst helping her two daughters prepare for a trip to India that she found Jesus and became born again. Shortly afterwards, she and her husband Michael were baptized together by full immersion, and were also baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Judy is co-founder of Acts One Eight and is pivotal to its mission. Her desire is to see people, particularly children, come to know Jesus and to be blessed with good health and prosperity.

Ian is a musician, song writer and composer. His musicianship (flute, piano, keyboard, drums and guitar) has served him well as Worship Leader at Holy Trinity Brompton and as a Musical Director in the POP world. He ran the band for Amy Winehouse during most of her first album and has worked closely with Paloma Faith.

He became a Christian while at Marlborough College through hearing the testimony of Ian McCormack, a New Zealand evangelist/pastor whose personal testimony is truly amazing: A Glimpse of Eternity.

Today, Ian’s work is mainly co-writing with artists around the world, producing for various artists and composing and creating music for radio and TV commercials. Recently he has completed assignments for Coca Cola and Orange. He currently has co-writes and productions on 5 albums being released shortly.

She was also a prison visitor at Holloway Prison, which gave her a real insight into other lifestyles.

Together with her sister Emma, she has travelled extensively in India, Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil, where she joined Emma for a short time working with street children in Belo Horizonte. She also travelled with Emma to Argentina to visit Olmos Maximum Security Prison which inspired her to do prison ministry. She has also travelled widely in the United States and Europe.

Charlotte is married to Ian and helps him with his music production business as well as looking after their growing family!

David Green – Trustee

Brought up in a Christian home, David knew from the age of 7 that he was to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He believed this would be through ordination in the Anglican Church. However, the pattern of his life changed in his late teens and he pursued a career in the motor industry until the mid-1980s, when he left employment and established a computer company, selling goods and services. In 1990 David, with his wife Jan, established a church in Suffolk, and in 1991 both were ordained at the International Pastors’ Convention in Riverside, California, USA.

David has more recently pioneered ‘Christian TV’, the Christian alternative for satellite viewing. From premises in Suffolk the company provides satellite equipment and services throughout the UK, enabling families to watch the Christian channels which are available via Satellite. David’s passion is to see people come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to help them grow and develop in their Christian life. Together with his wife Jan, he produces “Be Encouraged”, a magazine-style programme for Christian television channels which is currently shown in the UK and Africa. His website is www.christiantv.org.uk.

Jan Green – Trustee

Daughter of a Baptist Minister and wife of David, Jan was brought up in London in the knowledge and love of Jesus. She made a commitment at the age of 7, a decision she has never regretted. Living in Suffolk she has been involved with church work as a pioneer, administrator, worship leader and preacher. She is currently involved in Christian TV with her husband, and together they produce “Be Encouraged”, a magazine-style programme for Christian television channels which is currently shown in the UK and Africa. Since 1983 Jan has been a trustee of the charity Carrot Tops working among disabled children in Andhra Pradesh, South India. She is also a trustee of Green Pastures Christian Trust, a charity set up to provide income to overseas ministries including bible schools and orphanages.
