Obed’s Home was designed to accommodate 12 orphan boys together with house parents who provide love, care and attention. The aim is always to bring the children up in a relatively small, loving and caring environment where they can be nurtured.
The name Obed was taken from the Book of Ruth 4:13-17
Boaz and Ruth had a son called Obed who was the father of Jesse, who in turn was the father of King David. Obed’s Home was founded by Alfred Birnur with whom we partnered, who also operates another small orphanage for seven girls, known as Naomi’s Home.
